The Debate

One of the intentions behind the project was for the students to be able to step into, and evaluate different roles within the media related not just to content creation but also commissioning and publishing. This required them to think strategically, and to interrogate institutional priorities and biases, in a way that would enable them to better challenge and critique the media in future. As part of this critical process we asked them to devise, produce and take part in a debate, excerpts of which have been edited together in the film below.
